These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Afrostitches platform (the "Service"). By using or accessing Afrostitches you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Afrostitches is a marketplace that connects fashion designers, shoppers, and service providers to discover, buy, and sell African-inspired fashion. Our Website and Services are operated by Afrostitches.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Afrostitches. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

3. User roles

The Service supports several roles including designers, shoppers, support, and admin. Each role has specific capabilities (for example, designers can list products, shoppers can place orders). You agree to use the Service only in ways permitted for your role.

4. Listings, purchases & payments

Designers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, product descriptions, pricing, and shipping details. Buyers place orders through the Service; payments are processed by integrated payment providers. Afrostitches is not a party to the payment relationship between buyer and seller, but may assist with disputes and refunds as described in our policies.

5. Cancellations, refunds & returns

Refunds and returns are governed by the product listing terms and our Returns Policy. Designers and buyers should follow the published process for cancellations and refunds. Afrostitches may intervene for disputes, but final resolution may depend on designer policies and applicable payment provider rules.

6. Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, descriptions, designs). By posting content on Afrostitches you grant Afrostitches a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote that content as part of the Service. Do not upload content you do not own or have permission to use.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Uploading illegal or infringing content;
• Manipulating reviews, orders, or ratings;
• Attempting to access other users' accounts;
• Anything that violates applicable laws or these Terms.

8. Moderation & account enforcement

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or our policies. We will attempt to notify users, but reserve the right to act immediately for safety or legal reasons.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Afrostitches disclaims warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Afrostitches' liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount paid by you in the last 12 months or $100, whichever is less.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Afrostitches from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

11. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party services (payment processors, shipping providers, analytics). Those third parties have their own terms and privacy practices.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When material changes occur, we will provide notice (email or site notice). Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Afrostitches is incorporated (or as stated by your contract). If you have a dispute, please contact us first at the address below and we will try to resolve it amicably.
